Our Services
Housing Program
Alianza provides a variety of specialized housing programs. We work in partnership with Housing New Mexico (formerly NM Mortgage Finance Authority) and HUD to provide housing assistance to people living with HIV/AIDS through our HOPWA program, rapid rehousing and eviction prevention, and supportive housing for people who are referred by our partner agency MHR.
Each housing program is provided for specific geographic regions determined by the funding source, have unique eligibility standards including proof of income or other criteria, and require clients to be engaged in case management services.
Fair Housing is the right for everyone to have access to all housing opportunities without discrimination based on: Race, religion, national origin, sex, color, familial status and disability. The New Mexico Human Rights Act also prohibits discrimination based on: Ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity, spousal affiliation, pregnancy and childbirth or relation conditions.

Our healthcare related services include financial assistance with medical bills, HIV-related copays/coinsurance, deductibles, dental services, medication assistance, and support navigating health insurance. Every client is met with nonjudgmental compassionate care designed to help them achieve their own goals for viral suppression and the ability to live healthy thriving lives.
Alianza partners closely with medical providers so that our team can help each client achieve and sustain viral suppression because Undetectable = Untransmittable and we know that treatment is prevention.

Alianza offers a safe place for those who need to dispose of use and receive clean syringes. Services are available in both Roswell and Las Cruces.
Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) / Substance Use Disorder (SUD) / Assistance
We work to introduce the MAT (Medicated Assisted Treatment) process to healthcare providers and talk about what a DEA-X waiver can do for patients. MAT is an evidence-based process for reducing opioid overdoses in communities and with the result of reducing emergency room visits at hospitals.
Individuals who use substances can come to Alianza to learn where they can go for treatment options that may work for them, including MAT.
Overdose Prevention Education
Overdose Prevention Education Including Naloxone (Narcan)
Training is available for individuals to learn how to identify someone who may be experiencing an overdose. Training includes providing care, such as rescue breathing until emergency services arrive. As part of this training, an individual can receive free naloxone (Narcan).
HIV and STD Prevention Program
The HIV Prevention program at Alianza is made of a team of dedicated individuals focused on helping any person who comes in to our offices know their sexual health status. The goal is to support those who have become HIV positive by identifying their status with them and working to prevent new infections with this knowledge of status, and greater education for those who may be negative.
HIV
Testing
We offer rapid HIV testing (results while you’re here with us), rapid syphilis testing and rapid testing for hepatitis c (HCV), all in-office.
We assist in making appointments at NM Department of Health (DOH) for full-panel testing (gonnorrhea, chlamydia, etc.) and also referrals to DOH for confirmatory testing and treatments.
Testing hours are during our business hours at each office location and are found on the Contact Us page. Walk-ins are welcome and appointments can also be made by contacting us.

Services, Care and Treatment
Our services program complements primary medical care and brings essential support services to people living with HIV. Intended for those who do not have sufficient healthcare coverage, this program fills gaps in the bridge to care.
Medical Case Management (MCM)
MCM is the initial link to all case management services. A case manager conducts an initial assessment and will work with the person to create an individualized plan for care, complete with personal goals. The plan may include achieving viral suppression (undetectable status), medication adherence (taking medication as prescribed to maintain a healthy status), or even steps to better communication between clients and their medical providers. A MCM will also work with a client to enroll them in health insurance and programs to cover costs of medications and treatments.
Non-Medical Case Management (NMCM)
NMCM concentrates on the provision of advice and assistance in a client’s journey to obtaining social, community, legal, financial, and housing services. These case managers aid with transportation for medical care, emotional support referrals, education related to health, food assistance and other resources for healthy and safe living.
Health Insurance/Copays Coinsurance/Deductibles Assistance
Several types of medication assistance and health insurance options are available for clients living in New Mexico. Programs exist that can be accessed through a Medical Case Manager.
