Our Mission

Alianza’s Mission is to empower hard-to-reach, vulnerable, and underserved populations through education and supportive services aimed at working with everyone we serve to achieve better outcomes and higher quality of life.

The Prevention programs at Alianza are made of a team of dedicated, caring, non judgemental individuals focused on helping any person who comes into our offices to know their sexual health status.

Free, Fast Testing Services

We provide FREE HIV testing with results in 60 seconds, education and supplies that minimize risk, and navigation to local services based on individual needs. We assist in making appointments at NM Department of Health (DOH) for full-panel STD/STI testing (gonnorrhea, chlamydia, etc) and also referrals to local Department of Health offices for confirmatory testing and treatments.

FREE Syphilis Testing with Results in 10 Minutes

Did you know New Mexico experienced a 20% increase of congenital syphilis in just one year? Women show few symptoms and can pass it along to their babies during birth. Syphilis is treatable and can be cured if it is identified in early stages. Learn more here

We support those who have become HIV or STI positive by identifying their status with them, working to provide safety supplies that prevent new infections, and guidance to treatment and case management services.

Testing hours are during our business hours at each office location and are found on the Contact Us page. Walk-ins are welcome and appointments can also be made by contacting us.

PrEP Program

Alianza has incentivized Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) services including linkages to care for free medication. PrEP is medicine that can be taken to prevent HIV from sex or injection drug use. It works by stopping HIV from taking hold and spreading throughout the body. Alianza provides incentives for enrolling and continued adherence to PrEP.

Supportive Groups and Workshops

We help members of our community come together to build upon the strengths and resilience of the people we serve.

Many Men, Many Voices (3MV) is an HIV and STD prevention intervention for gay men of color to address factors that influence the behavior of gay men of color who have sex with men, including cultural, social, and religious norms; interactions between HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases; sexual relationship dynamics; and the social and psychological influences that racism and homophobia have on HIV risk behaviors. Peers play a big part in providing support and feedback on problem solving for each other. The goal of 3MV is to empower young men to effectively negotiate safer sex with their partners.

Healthy Relationships is a group intervention for men and women living with HIV/AIDS; based on Social Cognitive Theory and focuses on developing skills and building self-efficacy and positive expectations about new behaviors through modeling behaviors and practicing new skills. We focus on creating a positive and engaging atmosphere so that participants can think about making informed and safe decisions about disclosure to family, friends and sexual partners in their lives. This empowers individuals to build healthier and safer sexual relationships.
